The motif depicts a «Blossiming Cross». It is derived from traditional medieval Georgian ornaments and beautifully combines four distinct colors.The colours are very close to the ones used in medieval times. Ermile Magradze achieved this result by combining rock crystals (quartz) collected in the mountains of Georgia with special metal oxides and salts. 
The dial is made up of three layers of enamel, that create the optical effects of depth and reflectiveness.
The dial thickness of 1.2 mm is also very unique and caused an additional year of development.
